JUNIPER TAPS ENTERPRISE, E-GOVERNANCE MARKETS

Juniper Networks is tapping business opportunities in the Indian enterprise and e-governance markets. The company has already invested $200 million in its India operations and plans to invest another $200 million in the next five years. The company has made an entry into the switching equipment space and more than 50 percent of switch development work was handled at its R&D centre at Bangalore. This facility at Bangalore has grown from 14 employees in 2003 to nearly 1,000 personnel at present.
